Barry has always had a passion for taking care of the environment and making the highest quality products. From watching his father successfully run a sustainable farm nearly 50 years ago, to running a large dairy plant in New York, he has developed a strong understanding of the importance in protecting the environment and using only the best ingredients.
In 1997, Barry and his wife Shahnaz, came to own Snoqualmie Ice Cream, which fulfilled their dream of working together and owning a business doing what they love. They worked to create the worlds smoothest, richest and most perfect ice cream, right out of Maltby, Washington.
Here at Snoqualmie Ice Cream, we never compromise on using only the very best ingredients. We use local ingredients whenever possible and get our milk and cream from family owned farms.
We believe in taking care of the environment. Our site has zero run-off because of our rain gardens, bio swales, pervious concrete and rainwater collection for irrigation. Our solar panels, compressor waste heat recovery, LED sensor lighting and energy efficient equipment have helped to cut our utility bill in half. Each year we make upgrades to continue to improve.
We make our ice cream in small batches with more cream and less air to make the most premium ice cream. We vat-pasteurize to slow cook all of the ingredients and allow each flavor to have it’s own unique recipe.
We are committed to making the most perfect ice cream as well as striving to make the world a better place. We set the standard for how real ice cream should taste.

We believe in the goodness of sustainability. We have made significant developments to our property and manufacturing plant since 2005. We have zero-run off from our site, because of our installation of rain gardens, bio-swales, pervious concrete and rainwater collection for irrigation. We have cut our utility bill in half, because we use solar panels, compressor waste heat recovery, LED sensor lighting and the most energy efficient equipment possible.
We do what we do, because it is a part of who we are and we have a responsibility to our community and environment. When you decide to go sustainable, it’s a never-ending journey, which is why we are always upgrading and innovating.
