Giving Gratitude: Part I
It’s about that time of the year again for all of the feel good stuff we love so much. Although we should find ways to express our gratitude everyday, we are showing ours this holiday season. For the last three years, Snoqualmie has hand-delivered ice cream to local fire stations, so each Tuesday for the next three weeks, Manny (our delivery driver) and I get the humble privilege of dropping off gallon tubs and pints of holiday ice cream to several fire stations in Snohomish and King County. Last Tuesday, we were able to visit about 20 stations in Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Kenmore, Bothell, and Snohomish.
Here are a couple of fun memories to take you through our day with our community heroes!
First stop, Lynnwood Station No. 15. – Lynnwood, WA
Hill Top Station – Lynnwood, WA
Station No. 10 – Lynnwood, WA
Station No. 25 – Kirkland, WA
It was an honor to be able to shake hands with people who dedicate their service to us. To see genuine smiles of happiness graze the faces of our community heroes, and to be able to have sweet exchanges of deep gratitude for each other gives me feelings of inexplicable joy for the work I do with this abundantly generous company. How can I even call this work? I am so lucky!
Whether it’s sharing ice cream, a smile, or even a moment – share something with someone this season. At the end of the day, it’s all about purpose. It’s all about being able to spread the greater good with the work we do that goes beyond our positions and beyond the product.
Tune in for next week!
